Yelana 37 is an ideal dayboat and yet is remarkably well-equipped for simple cruising. With roots in the lobster yachts from the 1950s by Newbert and Wallace, the type and scale were selected to balance sea kindliness, moderate speed, maneuverability, and space on deck.
There are concessions to modernity. The open transom with flip-down bronze swim ladder turns any anchorage into a lee-side beach and makes boarding a breeze.
With a top speed above 25 knots and cruising intended in the high teens, this design is about getting anywhere in your local archipelago in style and with time to enjoy the surroundings.
When it’s time to visit a dock, the separate onboard shower and commodious galley may mean that the best dining option remains onboard.
